 PHOTOSHOOT WITH THE MOST FLAWLESS MAKE UP EVER  (on me, in this life), done by Hinal Mehta who has acquired these skills from London College of Make-Up -DUBAI 

So , I used to apply make up a certain way and until this girl comes along and changed all that. Showed me how to use the same make up products like a pro giving more finesse! 

There are times when you click snaps of yourself and think that you look as glamourous as Beyonce or Shakira. Reality check :: AFSOS! you do not ! In my case I laugh and laugh and this happens when a friend points out a really old snap and the cakey makeup or your face shining because of humidity.Snaps can be deleted and edited. SO EMBARASSING . Dear friends, pictures can be edited to perfection - but who will save you in real life ,when you are face to face with people attending long functions, board meetings, rushing to a school concert, beach barbeque ? NO, that filter ain't gonna walk with you everywhere on earth. 

Why do we need any kind of make over ? It's just a way of paying respect to yourself. Grooming is your way of saying you care about the way you present yourself to the world. Dressing , keeping your nails clean, hair dandruff free, anti- perspirant deodorant, clean shoes are just some basic courtesy extensions while interacting with other humans. Our face is used the most to convey expressions and it holds people's attention for the longest. Your face, it is the essence of communication.

At this point I would expect arguments from women/men who will throw in the famous age old saying -OH BEAUTY IS SKIN DEEP-I would answer with a Yes!! it is and no amount of make up you eat can make your ugly insides turn you into a GLOWING KIND person. But !!!SKINCARE, HEALTHY FOOD , EXERCISE and applying SUNSCREEN all these are of prime importance for a good skin, beauty regimes that go skin deep.
REMEMBER Every woman is beautiful but there is no harm in looking more beautiful and highlighting and enhancing your natural beauty. It is a self- image booster.

So Hinal Mehta Makeup artist WORkSHOP not only emphasizes on the morning to night skincare regime but she will suggest some brilliant moisturiser and skin care lotions which one must use daily. Even how to effectively and surely get rid of the small residues of makeup. In the long run they harm your skin. I just upgraded my kit after the workshop and feel satisfied with the information the workshop provided  .She teaches you the right  technique of applying a compact or even an eyeliner, it makes a massive difference . More than anything she made me feel very comfortable trying out a smoky eye effect - which I had tried earlier and was a disaster. The steps she showed me made so much sense and looked so damn neat. I am not very fussy when it comes to make up -I like the basic EASY touch and am happy. This workshop gave me options of going for different looks by following simple steps. The best part of the workshop was I got a set of brushes for myself - I swear to God I never used brushes before because I thought it would be terribly complicated but they actually help the make up glide on more correctly. Make up lasts longer. I was given a list of shades of lipsticks and eye-shadows which will compliment my skin tone, by the expert herself so I just had to go and pick them off the counters without wasting my time to try them out. .

 

I am a bad model where posing is concerned . Here I have tried a gold dust and black smoky eye make up--lighter version and a wedding eye make up .

And the lipstick is VERY BERRY from COLORBAR which I bought immediately the next day :D

FINALLY I CAN PUT ON MY MAKE UP LIKE A CHAMP.

###TIPS ## 

 I think when you look good and get complimented for your efforts , your insecurities fall off and you become more self- assured and little more brave towards life's challenges.
.This in turn just makes you more confident. Confidence makes you look even more hotter. Life improves in everyway. 

BESIDES,DO THAT EXTRA 15MINUTES ON YOUR TREADMILL OR WALK and CUT DOWN ON BINGING OUT ON PASTRIES AND ICECREAMS........No harm in looking FABULOUS !

                  Put on your favourite lipstick and #POUT and deal with life- LIFE GOES ON !

Friendship at 1st sight

Time was never a factor which determined how much you understood a person . It is the faith and commitment that matters.

We spend years with someone without really connecting to them and with some it is like a spark of madness the moment you start speaking with them. Similarly one bright sunny day, I walked into my Junior college auditorium where all kids had gathered to enter into the next phenomenal era of their lives. Found myself  next to this cute rather petite girl and after sometime we realised we are alloted the same class. There started our friendship. Over the months when visits to each others home increased we discovered that we are infact related by blood , paternal side of the family tree. We were I think third cousins by relation. It doesnt matter but that was like a discovery of  the millenium which, we were yet to enter. Pleasantly surprised because WHAT A CO-INCIDENCE

So after 15odd years we still are awesome friends . Though she stays on the other side of the planet we catch up on hellos online here and there on all these ridiculous social apps - sometimes you forget which one you have used to converse. This problem, I have minimised to a large extent. Lord God I cannot handle even the 4 to 5 apps which I use without getting a little worked up. I dont know why would you want to be connected to a person on 100 different apps. Doesn't it lose the whole emotional value or quality ? I love the internet though or what would I do without these random jokes and hellos you guys send ?? Anyway my point is with some people its like you had just met yesterday and restart your conversation from there. BOOM BOOM. 

Friendship is wierd they say , You pick up a human you have met and say "Yup I like this one".and you just do stuff with them. Sometimes you meet a person and you just click, just like that - like you snap your fingers. Like you already know them and talk any random sh#t with them. If you meet such dramatic souls who enjoy the same sarcastic humour like you , can laugh at the same things, can laugh at themselves that is a bonus in life. I like to insult my friends when they act dumb and its okay that they do the same with me -- it's like the bro code. With friends you make such memories which are just yours alone. The experience was between you and them and revisiting those moments time and again becomes a stress buster. You don't have to pretend to be someone else - that is what a true friend gives you ..complete freedom to be YOU. 

Friends who support you during unhappy times are not the only ones to be celebrated - I feel the ones who can applaud and empathise in your success are the ones who are more dear. They think you to be worthy of the praise you receive because of the hardwork you have put in. This to me is very important. A person who acknowledges the spirit in you for good things. They make you want to be more of the better qualities you possess. That is how you also become a better person. You need a little motivation every now and then. The best of the best people need motivation every now and then  Okaaaaay and that is OKAY !! 

IN TODAYS digittal WORLD what is tthe meaning of FRIENDS -- people who know the real life story and don't judge you by the happy photo albums you upload on Facebook ,Instagram or whatever social app. People with who you can sit and just be silent and feel you have had the best conversation, just by meeting and exchanging energies with them. But meeting is important - how do people who love each others vibe , not meet? How can you not struggle to catch up ? I love people who go out of their way to do this. I can't thank you'll enough. I feel so wanted because of you all. I am like if nobody loves me its OOOOOOKAY at least these retards do. It gives me happy walla song in my heart.

Dubai Fashion Forward - Rampwalks 2014

2014 has been a year of firsts for me  -- so here I am amidst some talented designers, stylists, super models, bloggers all super creative peepal at Fashion Forward Dubai 2014 - BOOM BOOM

 Check her website for insight into the amazing world of Maral's MAYA - Her designs are a marriage between the contemporary and traditional. She puts out aesthetically fashion forward trends in outfits.
Thank you Dubai evening traffic couldn't get a place in the V.I.P. seats. 
Magnificient people all prepped and prim in delectable fashion attires - loved the OOTT , BIZZARE looking ones - they were the best dressed.


                                                                         

 A quick round at the stalls of super talented young entrepreneurs and designers - bought a few things amongst them the most innovative and most enticing work, was that of this talented girl with her DESIGNER BURQAS called Burqaabori - check them on Instagram. She makes Burqas inspired by the designs of great artists like Chanel , Alexander Mcqueen and the one am sporting is by none other than Gianni Versace --- I loved it because it was matching my sizzling shoulder pads. A picture below of a few designs she has made.  I wore a chocolate brown crepe gown designed by MSA -

Spruced up the glamour quotient by wearing the shoulder pads - LIONHEAD with tassles inspired by Gianni Versace. 

Shopaholic Me explains why I shop what I shop:::::::::::: I was attracted to the Lion symbol because its an ancient symbol of dominion, power and bravery. Little detail ::: The majestic king of the beasts, was used as a symbol since medieval times. We see them sprewn all across European history. Also in mythical stories they are symbols of ferocity and protection. I get  GOOD VIBES from Sir Lion hehe. 
Basically it kind of empowers you to go on and take over the task at hand.It does. It's all in the mind - I choose to manifest the representer of the most ferocious fire in space - the Sun, Lion which is a solar animal symbol. Commands authority. Makes my heart ROAR - Thats me reasoning out aloud about why I choose things I choose!!

P.S - One gay designer while waiting in line to get in for one of the shows, complimented me for my accessory of the day - MY SHOULDER PADS !! YAYIEEE !! Just like that he was waiting with his friends and their gang was having a high time. I was enjoying their nonstop chatter. I hear this one guy saying , oh check her shoulder pads, lovely- am going to tell her & so he did."I love your shoulder pads babe ,lovely, looking good". LALALLALA Yayiee!!  So successful evening I say. Someone once said just believe a gay guy when he compliments you . First of all they never want anything from you , so - if they say you looking good you probably are looking bomb :*
